This digital artwork is inspired by Surah At-Tin, the 95th chapter of the Qur'an. A Makki surah revealed in Mecca before the Hijrah, it opens with an oath by the fig and the olive — fruits long associated with the sacred lands of Jerusalem and Mount Sinai.
The surah reflects on how Allah created humankind in the finest of forms, upright in stature and beautifully proportioned in limb. Yet those who turn to wrongdoing are reduced to the lowest of the low, while those who believe, act righteously, and obey are promised Jannah and a reward without end.
